Job Description

Post Title:                          General  Assistant.

Grade:                                Hourly pay to be confirmed.

Responsible to:                  Duty Manager.

 

Overall objectives of the post:

To ensure daily cleaning duties are completed to a high standard, provide general administrative / social media updates for Number 52, Front of House duties, maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Key tasks of the post:

1   You will provide an efficient and effective organisational support for Number 52.

•·         Take primary responsibility for reception duties, answering general telephone enquiries and welcoming / logging in customers.

•·         Assist with the cleaning duties of the premises, ensuring that all internal processes are met to a high standard.

•·         Dealing and processing customer food and drink orders.

 

2   You will provide an efficient and effective administration support to Number 52.

•·         Provide general clerical / admin duties as and when required.  Support in typing up "Customer Notices" and ensuring mail is passed to the duty manager for his attention.

•·         Ensure all customer details are logged in to the computerised system and updated.

•·         Complete all daily sheets in relation to cleaning duties and sales.

•·         Undertake ICT tasks to include updating social networks for Number 52.

 

3   You will provide effective and efficient support to the development of resources.  You will:-

•·         Operate relevant equipment / ICT packages (word, excel, Internet including Twitter, website and Facebook).

•·         Ensure stock and supplies are maintained and informing the duty manager of any stock shortages.

•·         Provide general advice and guidance to staff, customers and others.

•·         Undertake general financial duties eg processing visitor payments and ensuring all cafe sales are logged and paid for.

 

4   You will contribute to the overall achievements of Number 52's objectives.

•·         Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to Number 52, especially customer confidentiality, health and safety, security and data protection, reporting all concerns to the duty manager.

•·         Be aware of and support equal opportunities for all.

•·         Contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of Number 52.

•·         Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required.

•·         Participate in training and other activities and personal development as required.
