The smaller cinema when I last visited (end of October) was playing bisexual & TS porn, the large cinema on the top floor was solely gay porn.
+1 on the women friendly night. I also have some female friends who’d be interested in the sauna dynamic and bi MF play. Although it does slightly defeat the point of a gay sauna admittedly & I suppose the swingers club is only 5 minutes walk away from #52 too.
I’m large (non-hairy) and visited at the end of October.
I can’t say that I was batting off the guys with a stick, but I still managed to have plenty of fun in the hour or so I was there. I know I’m not a chiseled Adonis but if anyone isn’t keen on the way I look walking around, unfortunately that’s their burden to bear and I largely just don’t think about it. If people are interested they’ll make it known.
I didn’t get any animosity or feeling of unwelcome during my time there. I previously had visited a very well known sauna in Central London and it was very difficult with my body size (I even got a lecture on losing weight by a complete stranger in the sauna area – which wasn’t asked for nor wanted) and I got politely declined when making moves. Thankfully I found none of that in #52 and I’ll be back again soon.
I just happened to time my walk up to the front at a point where Scotswood Rd had no cars on it and nobody else walking around. My first time I was definitely a bit nervous.
That being said, just go for it. You’re over-thinking it. I’ve seen people walking in and out of all kinds of places and pay them no thought, nobody will care who you are or what you’re doing. Take a breath and just walk in – you’ll be incredibly glad you did once the door’s shut and you’re inside.
