Hello fellas,
I ended up deleting my first account yesterday, but thought I’d write up my experience.
So I decided to pluck up the courage and make the drive over. Made it to the entrance, got through the door no problem. Spoke to the young chap on the desk and paid my money. I thought “that was nowhere near as nerve wrecking as they’ve made it out”
Now into the locker room to get changed. There was a chap already in there and two stood in the door way. Obviously I expected attention (as I’m late 20’s) but this was something else. The gentleman was in the locker room getting ready to leave. Once he’d seen me walk in, he started to get undressed again whilst starting at me. The two gents in the door way were staring at me also, and I hadn’t even began to take my clothes off yet.
It was at this point that my anxiety went through the roof and I handed my key and towel back into the desk. Told them they can keep the money and I left.
Honestly, it felt almost predatory. It’s deffo put me off coming back alone in future. I was genuinely freaked out.
hi Jay. don’t be put off. there no pressure to do anything when in there. everyone like to look. just remember that your in control of what happens.
If you don’t like people looking at you then the sauna is probably not the place for you. Was it because the guys looking at you were old? If you’re under 30 then you will get a lot of attention. How would you want others to indicate they are interested in you?
A simple no is enough for people to leave you alone.

Wow! I can relate to why you’d have taken flight and left. I haven’t yet plucked up the courage to walk in the door, so you’re way ahead of me! I think many of us have this itch to scratch but it’s a big leap. The guy you saw won’t have helped you get over your nerves, and it sounds unpleasant even if perhaps that wasn’t his intention. Might be worth another try – which makes me a hypocrite! But I mean it. I will also go one day….
