I loved visiting Number 52, and the freedom it offered as a safe space to express myself as a bondage enthustiast.
A very experienced and respectful staff member once said he would be grateful if I would wear a towel in the cafe,
as it was a public area where members like to enjoy food and drink, which is understandable and very easy to comply with.However, sitting alone in the 1st floor TV lounge, naked on Monday afternoon (Aug 2022) , a member of the Taliban, masquerading as a Number 52 employee
breezed into the TV lounge and insisted that I put a towel on !!! He had pressumably been observing me on the Closed Circuit Television Surviellance system.
What was worse, he then informed me, in the manner of a wine connoisseur that had been forced to gargle on battery acid,
that there was a specialist night, once a month that would be more appropriate for me !Stunned and confused, I gathered my thoughts for a while in the changing room, then made a great decision !
I went to The Eagle instead, where I could sit at the bar in my harness, cuffs, ropes, and short shorts. I was made to feel really welcome,
and spent a fantastic 3 hours chatting and laughing with the regulars – a truely warm gay safe space.In the FAQ section, under ‘Do I Need To Wear A Towel?’ , the reponse is :
“We generally prefer our clients to utilise the towels, however, we are open minded and we don’t discriminate so feel free to hang out anywhere except public areas such as the cafe!”
No mention of the 1st Floor TV lounge being a public area, especially when you can look through the always open door and see naked guys in the corridor doing what naked guys
in corridors sometimes do ! As for ‘We don’t discriminate’, I got that horrible sick feeling in the pit of my stomach that said to me ” You are not welcome here! ”So there we are, fellow members and future members, Put That Towel On ! and Keep That Towel On !

It’s a shame to hear this, I’d guess some are a tad too conservative for a sauna and it’s they who should keep away.
On another note I’d like to hear more about your bondage enthusiasm.

Wonder if they have changed things as when I used to go a few months back I was always naked around the place
Always naked! Towel over the shoulder, it’s annoying having to pull it up around the waist constantly. I can see your point but I think I’d wear a towel in the tv lounge, just to keep me balls off the seats

Its Russ here, the Operations Manager, I sincerely apologise that you have had this experience whilst at Number 52 Sauna. We have had a lot of new staff as of late, which are still learning the ropes. All customers are allowed to be naked throughout the sauna, apart from the Cafe area. Customers can also wear light bondage clothing and harnesses and also underwear if they wish. I am sorry that there has been confusion from one of the staff members with regards to this. This has been fed back to that individual staff member and also reiterated to the whole team….so please feel free to come to the sauna and walk around naked if that is what makes you comfortable. And again, I do apologise for the misinformation that you were given…..
