First timer

It’s pretty hit and miss. Saturday afternoon can be good, and after pubs close. Weekday afternoons can be good too. Read what other people say.

Hi Stoney I wrote a very long (and some might say tedious!) review of my first visit of last Friday afternoon which you can find on the recent posts here. Lack of experience isn’t a problem at all, I’d never set foot in a sauna before either. The whole question of “which day to go” is like the how long is a piece of string question. I can only speak for the one time I’ve been and on that day a few of the guys were from out of area and were visiting Newcastle for the weekend so popped in here for a few hours so that added onto the local(ish) contingent like myself from County Durham. But whether that’s a typical Friday afternoon, I have no idea. Best thing to do is just go, you meet who you meet, and if nothing takes your fancy just enjoy the hot tub, sauna and steam room like you would in a nice hotel. Best advice is just do it.

Don’t be nervous remember that their is lots of people of all ages sizes etc. and nobody is perfect. I don’t have much experience I am 39 year old and nervous like yourself. If you are wanting a buddy to go with I am planning on going on Friday afternoon or Sunday morning?
